Spine Robot Hurls Cinder Blocks

Mark Pauline tested the Spine Robot cinderblock hurling capability. Mark says, “Best throw was about 15-17 ft.” Video shot from a small drone. Distance of throw 16ft on the 3rd try. Standard Cinder block. Boston Dynamics’ Big Dog was only getting about 10-13 ft.

SRL at ArtPadSF 2012

Mark Pauline will be part of a panel for the ArtPadSF art fair hosted at the Phoenix Hotel. The other panelists are Ben Davis and Leo Villareal of The Bay Lights, and Joel Slayton of Zero1, introduced by Amy Critchett. The Spine Robot will also be demo’d right after the talk. More info here.
